Dr. Calloway has been recognized as one of the pioneers who helped develop and refine many state-of-the-art facial rejuvenation procedures.  He has been performing these procedures for over 25 years, and he has helped train hundreds of physicians and surgeons from around the world.  While a Plastic Surgeon at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Calloway helped introduce minimally invasive technologies to the international community and has been a featured speaker and educator at many international Medical Conferences.  As every patient presents with specific and unique aspects of facial aging, Dr. Calloway recognizes that every procedure needs to be tailored and customized to the individual.  Consequently, facial rejuvenation procedures represent many surgical techniques that are blended and adapted to each specific patient to achieve the desired natural rejuvenation.

Lasers, Endoscopic miniature video cameras with hidden scars, Botox®, Soft tissue fillers and Volumizers, Liquid Face Lifts and Rhinoplasties, Fat and Stem Cell transfers, Natural implants, non invasive lasers and Thermage skin tightening treatments and other non-surgical techniques are achieving results usually requiring more traditional invasive surgeries.  For those considering Cosmetic Surgery, these exciting new approaches can now be utilized to enhance one’s natural beauty and healthy appearance.   Adherence to this philosophy has helped to propel Dr. Calloway into the forefront of this revolution in Plastic Surgery.

 Facial Procedures

Face Lift – Facelifting procedures are designed to restore the natural soft tissue contours of the face by lifting drooping structures in the face to reconstruct the normal youthful anatomy.  Although originally developed as a surgery to remove wrinkles and loose skin (also known as rhytidectomy), the procedure has been refined to restore the deep soft tissues contours of the face to create a more youthful, rested, and refreshed appearance.

Neck Lift – A neck lift, or lower rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that improves visible signs of aging in the jawline and neck.   Although a necklift is often part of complete facelift, it is primarily used to correct localized drooping or heaviness of the chin and neck.  Unlike a facelift, however, the incisions are completely hidden behind the ears and under the chin.  During the neck lift surgery, Dr. Calloway uses a miniature video camera, known as an endoscope, to perform the surgery safely with more limited incisions.  Because of this 21st century technology, the procedure is often referred to as an Endo-neck lift or endoscopically assisted neck lift.

Brow Lift – A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, reduces the wrinkle lines that develop horizontally across the forehead, as well as those that occur on the bridge of the nose, between the eyes, improves frown lines, raises sagging brows, and places the eyebrows in an alert and youthful position.

Eyelid Surgery –  Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure designed to improve the appearance of the eyelids.  Surgery can be performed on either the upper or lower eyelids, or both.  Whether a patient wants to improve their appearance or are experiencing functional problems with the eyelids, eyelid surgery can rejuvenate the function and appearance of the area surrounding the eyes..

Laser Skin Resurfacing – Laser skin resurfacing is a minimally invasive procedure using pure light energy to improve the color, texture, thickness and quality of the skin.  Also known as Laser Peel, Laserbrasion or Laser resurfacing, the treatment can smooth facial wrinkles and texture irregularities, tighten facial skin, and eliminate flaws of the skin such as sun spots, broken blood vessels, liver spots, melasma, enlarged pores, and blemishes.  Newer laser technologies allow Dr. Calloway a new level of control in laser surfacing, permitting extreme precision, especially in delicate areas.

Otoplasty – Ear surgery – also known as otoplasty – can improve the shape, position or proportion of the ears. It can correct a defect in the ear structure that is present at birth, or it can treat misshapen ears caused by injury.

Rhinoplasty – This procedure enhances facial harmony and the proportions of the nose. It can also correct impaired breathing caused by structural defects in the nose.*
